Beat Away the January Blues | Saturday 21st January 2pm - 4pm

The Flourishing Well are delighted to welcome back Tom from Rhythm to a T, to 'Beat Away the January Blues!'

"I am Tom from Rhythm to a T, and after an amazing workshop in St Cyrus on Dec 3rd- The Gift of Rhythm at Christmas- I am delighted to be partnering up once again with the wonderful The Flourishing Well.

Now if you are like me, I find January a rather long and often tedious month, and I am always glad to see it disappear, so why not help yourself Beat Away the January Blues on Saturday January 21st 2023 at St Cyrus.

No experience of drumming is necessary, as it is very easy to pick up. My style of drumming is purely improvisational, and coming together in music making builds community and can be altogether rather special.

Last time we created our Rainforest Soundscape, and this time around I thought we could try a Storm Soundscape, bringing in the wind, the rain, choppy seas, thunder and lightning too. Atmospheric for sure!

We also sang a little joyous African song entitled Fanga Alafia, which is too good not to do again, and I would like to also share a Cherokee Indian morning song, which is gorgeous to sing.

And of course, we shall have fun with some rhythm games and exercises too.

The rhythm’s gonna get you!

Rhythm to a T" of interest to you, please sign up as spaces are limited and I look forward to drumming with you in January."
