On the 20th October Lorna was asked to do her pain management workshop online with the ladies from Dundee women’s aid. This workshop was funded by women’s aid and The Flourishing Well.
Lorna sent all the ingredients out. Then she did a zoom meeting with the ladies. They all made Lorna’s therapeutic pain relief balm, which included organic, nourishing butters, oils, anti inflammatory, analgesic and antispasmodic pure essential oils.
Lorna then guided them through the process of making turmeric tea for pain and inflammation.
There was a discussion about people's conditions and types of pain. Lorna guided the ladies through the "live well with pain self care cycle" and how to use hot and cold pack for pain and inflammation.
Together as a group they all did EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) for pain relief. All the ladies found that their pain levels decreased. Not everyone's individual pain was tapped on, however the borrowed benefits from tapping with others in the group was significant.
The ladies found value on many levels from the workshops and really enjoyed being proactive. Some of the participants comments are in the feedback poster below, with a few more images from the workshop.
